Of course I know about LCA, I attended LCA in Brisbane in 2002, in fact
I will never forget those luxury "dorms" at the Uni that I stayed in
during the conference :)

ThinLinX also exhibited at LinuxWorld in San Paulo Brazil in 2006 and
has exhibited in the Opensource area at Cebit Sydney in 2006 and 2007.
In 2008 we exhibited on the Queensland Government Stand at Cebit Sydney
(a cost saving measure)

The problem Russell is not lack of interest but lack of time, and
resources to respond to all emails, particularly ones that seem to have
plenty of time to respond to. 2010 seems a long way away, thanks for the
prompt. ThinLinX is a small company established by myself and my wife,
we sold our house to fund the start up. We have been lucky enough to
have received COMET grants and a Angel investor has also contributed to
the development of the Hot-e (my wife Jeanne chose the Hot-e name). We
have followed a very long and bumpy road over the last five years
commercialising the Hot-e and and are only now approaching the break
even point. We have developed our Hot-e models on what many would call a
"shoe string" budget, most sane people would have given up long ago.

I am very confident that Brisbane will prevail and host the 2010 LCA,
BTW, I hope to attend the Hobart conference in January 2009 :)

I understand that is a very disappointing response, I can't speak for
the others but I do know how hard it is to find enough hours in the days
(note the time that I am responding to this email)

Good, goes to show that persistence pays off!

Good on you Russell, Linux needs more guys like you!

Russell, don't ever go away, we need guys like you.

I have attached the latest ThinLinX Hot-e brochures and the letter of
support, I hope to catch up with you for a face to face chat in the next
few months. Perhaps you can drop into our Office on the Sunshine Coast
next time you are up this way.

Cheers,
