1 From: Russell Stuart <firstname.lastname@example.org> 2 To: email@example.com 3 Subject: Brisbanes' bid for LCA 2010 4 Date: Thu, 07 Aug 2008 21:24:48 +1000 5 6 Dear Sir, 7 8 The Annual Conference of Linux Australia (http://www.linux.conf.au/) has 9 been held every year since 2001. It was held in Brisbane in 2002, and we 10 are hoping it will be held here again in 2010. 11 12 Free from the commercial marketing interests of vendors, Linux 13 Conference Australia (LCA) is a non-profit conference entirely organised 14 and run by volunteers, and one of the key criteria is that it be run at 15 the lowest cost to delegates possible. 16 17 Brisbane Marketing is assisting us by putting together an eBid document 18 to present to the Linux Australia committee for their consideration. 19 Last year they obtained for us letters of support from a number of 20 organisations. I have attached the one from the Premiers department. 21 We are hoping to do the same this year. 22 23 We would very much like to win LCA back for Brisbane in 2010. Your 24 advice and assistance would be greatly appreciated. 25 26 Yours Sincerely 27 Russell Stuart 28 29 Team Leader 30 mobile: 0438 805 133 31 http://www.humbug.org.au 32 http://www.stuart.id.au/lcawiki
